DEKORON UNITHERM · SUPPLIED BY PMA

Heat where your process needs it.

Freeze protection and temperature maintenance, brought together in a factory-built tubing bundle.

ELECTRICALLY TRACED TUBING

A controlled journey. From process to instrument.

An electric heater runs alongside the process tube inside thermal insulation and a protective outer jacket. The assembly supplies heat along the line to help preserve flow or maintain a specified process temperature. PMA helps you consider the heater, tubing and installation as one system.

Electrically traced tubing bundle detail

Built around your duty.

Choose the heating arrangement around the fluid, the required temperature and the available electrical supply.

Freeze protection

Support exposed instrument, process and utility lines through cold conditions. Define the winter ambient, flow and shutdown scenario before selecting the heater.

Temperature maintenance

Keep temperature-sensitive fluids or analytical samples within the specified duty. The maintained temperature depends on the complete design and operating conditions.

Insulation choices

Conventional fibrous-glass and aerogel constructions are available. Aerogel options can improve thermal efficiency and reduce the bundle outside diameter.

Serviceable configurations

Options include carrier-tube replaceable heaters and multiple heating zones. Availability depends on tube count, material and the selected construction.

APPLICATION STARTING POINTS

Designed around the process.

Tell us what the line needs to do, then review the complete construction with PMA.

Instrument & utility lines

Review exposed small-bore lines for freeze protection, including intermittent flow and cold shutdowns.

Analytical sampling

Define sample composition, target temperature and line length to manage condensation between the process and analyser.

Process-fluid transfer

Consider viscosity, normal operation, start-up and cleaning conditions together.

USEFUL TO KNOW

Your questions, answered.

Which electric heater should I choose?

Start with the required maintained temperature, ambient extremes and process exposure. Self-regulating, power-limiting and specialist higher-temperature constructions serve different duties; PMA can review the appropriate option.

Does self-regulating mean no controls are needed?

Self-regulating describes the heater’s response to temperature. Circuit protection, temperature sensing and control requirements still need to be reviewed against the application and the supplied product instructions.

What should I send for a quotation?

Include fluid, pressure, tube material and dimensions, tube count, maintained and maximum temperatures, voltage, length, route and any certification requirements.
