Series 2200 combines process tubing, thermal insulation and a continuous extruded polymer jacket. It reduces heat loss during transport without an integral electric heater. Used in refinery and petrochemical applications, it connects steam supply manifolds to tracing systems and returns condensate towards the boiler.

Consider the fluid, temperature, insulation and outer jacket as a single transport assembly.
Condensate return
Insulation helps reduce heat loss on the return journey. Review connections, drainage and the installation environment.
Continuous outer jacket
The extruded polymer jacket protects the insulation against moisture. Correct end seals and terminations remain essential.
No integral heater
Pre-insulation reduces heat loss; it does not add heat. Review prolonged cold shutdowns separately where freezing is possible.

Surface temperatures depend on the product construction and operating conditions. Other specialist range ratings require separate confirmation; insulation alone does not guarantee freeze protection.

Your questions, answered.
Will pre-insulated tubing stop a line freezing?
Insulation slows heat loss but does not generate heat. A prolonged cold shutdown can still cause freezing. Discuss active heating where the process requires it.
Where is Series 2200 commonly used?
The manufacturer describes refinery and petrochemical steam distribution and condensate return applications. Suitability depends on the exact fluid, conditions and supplied construction.
What should I send for a quotation?
Include the medium, pressure, normal and maximum temperatures, ambient conditions, tube size and material, length, routing, supports and required end connections.
