Bring temperature and flow into the same review.
The duty
The manufacturer identifies viscosity maintenance, heavy-oil transfer and heavy-wax transfer within selected traced-tubing ranges. The objective is to maintain the fluid condition needed by the process. It is not a guarantee that any heated bundle will transport every oil, grease or wax.
Start with the fluid data
Provide viscosity against temperature, required flow and any pour-point or solidification information. Include available pressure difference and restrictions at equipment connections. A suitable temperature window must preserve the fluid while supporting the intended transfer duty.
Include shutdown and restart
Describe how the line is emptied, flushed or held when production pauses, and whether it must restart with fluid in place. Review the tube bore, route and heating supply together. Electric or steam-traced construction should be selected for the specific fluid and operating sequence.
