Specify the tube inside the bundle.
Distinguish tube size from bundle size
The process tube outside diameter and the finished insulated bundle outside diameter are different dimensions. The June 2026 line card lists common tube outside diameters of ¼, ⅜, ½ and ¾ inch across the range. Not every size is available in every material or construction.
Include wall thickness and tube count
State the required wall thickness or tube specification, and how many process tubes are needed. Steam-traced assemblies also contain a tracer tube. The published maximum tube count varies with outside diameter and material, so confirm the proposed configuration rather than combining catalogue options independently.
Check the installation envelope
Provide equipment connection sizes, available routing space and any restrictions at penetrations or supports. Ask for the selected bundle dimensions and bend guidance. Confirming the bare process tube size alone will not show whether the complete insulated line fits the route.
