Follow the line from connection to connection.
Describe the complete run
Supply a drawing or route sketch with the installed length, bends, changes in elevation and transitions between environments. Include entry points to equipment and enclosures. The straight-line distance between two instruments rarely describes the whole installed route.
Allow for the complete bundle
Review available space using the finished bundle dimensions. Bend radius, support spacing and handling requirements must come from the documentation for the supplied construction. Steam-traced bundles and electrically traced assemblies may need different treatment at ends and utility connections.
Plan the interfaces and access
Identify process connections, power or steam connections, jacket end seals and any exposed tube sections. Consider access for inspection and future maintenance. Agree the required installation documents and accessories with PMA before work begins, so the line and its terminations are reviewed together.
